I just bought a DSLR, after reviewing some of the pictues I took I noticed that a single red pixel is burned onto each picture. Its an easy fix in Photoshop, but obviously it's not suppose to do that. I could still exchange it, but it was bought online so it would be more of a hassle. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Did it get worse?

Does the rebel allow Pixel mapping? I'd suggest that if its on the sensor that I'd return it now rather then deal with it in photoshop. You cant enter a single Open challenge that doesnt allow advanced editing. And besides if you have one out with a brand new camera, how many will be out when there is 5000 actuations on the shutter?

Contact the on line supplier - I would definately send it back if it is anything less than perfect - you may have this camera for some time and it would really bug me.

You could also try returning it under warranty via your local camera shop - worth asking anyway as amy authorised canon dealer should take it on as a warranty claim - worth a try ?

Ant chance of posting a cropped sample ?
