I really like photos with bright bold colors, but on the other hand I have a fear of oversaturating and turning my photo into a cartoon. Here are two edits of the same photo, done a couple of months apart, did I go to far? Any other comments or suggestions?
1st version...
2nd version...

I tend to lean towards the first version more, mainly because the sky seems like too much in the second version. I do however, like that there is more detail in the foreground cliffs in the second version. I might have suggested some dodging on the cliffs in the first version to bring out some of the texture. I think the second version accomplishes this. I also like the softeness of the water in the first version better, again with maybe just a bit more dodging. Maybe you could find a happy medium between the two. :)
It's a beautiful scene you captured though, whichever way you choose to present it.

Was about to write my opinion but 'twas almost identical so got lazy. Just "ditto".
Although I naturally tend towards darker, less contrasty images myself.

2nd one is gorgeous!
The 1st image is fairly flat looking, but the 2nd one is amazing. Very beautiful. |

Thank you...Givemeashot, jenesis, kirsty mcn & skylen
Giveme...I wondered myself if there wasn't a greenish cast, thanks for confirming. I'll put that on the fix list!
jenesis & kirsty...I agree a bit too much on the sky. Sky goes on the fix list. The water I'll have to think about, I'm kind of fond of version 2 water.
Thanks all, again!
