Is anyone running the beta of IE7, and if so have they had any problems with this site?
I use IE7 in work and I just couldn't get the 'Comment was helpful' checkbox to stay ticked.
I'll test it properly next week when I install Firefox side-by-side just to make sure I'm not going mad. It could have had something to do with security/cookies on my work PC.
Just wanted to see if any IE7 users had any similar problems.

My IE is screwed. It won't load any page. It just hangs on a white screen at the very beginning. I installed the 7 beta to see if it would fix it, but no such luck. So I uninstalled, back to old IE, still doesnt work... I'm so confused! Opera, Mozilla, and even typing a URL in at My Computer works fine, but not IE!?

You're a brave man... installing beta MS software and expecting it to 'fix it' :)
One other effect I'm getting in IE7 is when I try to open a thread the screen just stays blank and I've got to click the 'go' button again.
I dunno, perhaps these 'bugs' (if they are bugs) will be fixed in the final release. |

I haven't used IE7 yet (or rather, tried - I'm a Firefox hardcore user), but if history is anything to go by, then it will have a lot of issues that web programmers simply must code around/for.
Using a standards-compliant browser like Opera or Firefox the site works great. I have used DPC with Firefox under Windows and Linux and the user experience is very consistent.
For anyone considering IE7: get Firefox. It has all the functionality and then some, is extremely extensible, stable, fast, and is here now. |

THe man just wanted an answer.... I am using IE7 and it sticks on my end so it could be just a combination of other software you are running or a setting in the security section. |

MS software is such a maze of DLL dependencies, API calls and black-magic functions that when a tiny bitsy component goes "bad" (this is also unexplainable in a lot of cases) the repercussions can range from slight annoyances to being unable to boot. Have you heard of something called "browser hijacking"? Google it and prepare to be afraid...
Most of the times a full Windows reinstall is needed to truly fix this kind of thing... that or, if your OS is configured to use them, return to a savepoint.
But do consider changing your browser. If you don't like Firefox, try Opera. Do it for two weeks. You will never go back to IE. |

I'm using IE7 Beta 2 and I had problems at the rollover with not all the thumbs loading up, but since then I've had no issues at all. |

I'm using Firefox at the mo, and I really like it. It felt odd at first, but now I just rely too heavily on mouse gestures! I do find it quite slow to load pages with a lot of images tho, compared to IE.

Depending on you internet link speed, some tweaking to Firefox can make it a lot faster. I use it "out of the box" and find its rendering speed very good, however your mileage may vary... try this:
Type "about:config" in your firefox address bar. Find these settings:
- network.http.pipelining : set this one to "true"
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequests : set this one to 40 or 50
- network.http.proxy.pipelining : set this to "true"
- nglayout.initialpaint.delay : set this to 0.
