I posted a threas the other day suggestinh I had this Gut Feeling that I was going to upgrade my 350D.
Well I went into work yesterday and there were Three Pro Photographers doing a shoot on Climbing Gear on our 12.5 Metre high Climbing Wall.
I had a natter with this Fella and he said his best camera was a 5D which he recently purchased, he said he liked it more than his D1 !
He allowed me to have a Butchers at it, and the rest is History.
Today I was on the phone and I am hoping to have it by Saturday.
I would also like to thank everyone who commented upon the last thread which give me the little push I needed.
I would like to give a special mention to Alexsaberi who has given me lots of solid advice.
Cheers.
Joe

I just got a 5D and I LOVE it!
Of course, I'll be paying for it for the rest of my life, but I do not regret the decision.
Now all I need, is more time to use it :) |

You're gonna be smiling from ear to ear. Do make sure that you have enough storage, both in CF cards and in hard drive space. You'll be looking at about 13MB on average for RAW files. I use 2GB CF cards, and carry two of those plus two older 1GB cards. The 2GB cards hold about 150 photos each.
A fast card reader is also a must. Use a FireWire reader like the Lexar RW-019 if you can. Much faster than USB 2.0
