Then try editing this photo, and post your final image here!
Advanced Editing Rules apply, thanks. I'd like to see how others could edit and prepare this photo for DPC Advanced Edit submission.

There's not a lot I'd change. Contrast masking brings some detail back to the whites, a second pass on the shadow mask richens the darks a bit, some slight bumps in saturation, and some sharpening.

Thanks Bear.
Aren't you going to do anything about the "grain" of the photo?
I seem to be getting those a lot :( Maybe it's the camera.

I did even less than Bear, and came up with a slightly lighter image. I corrected color in curves, tweaked the levels (very small amount), added some brightness, and about a +5 in contrast.

edit to add; I didn't see a big issue with grain. Overall a not bad photo...

i should be in bed but anyway. um, curved down one layer then masked, burn, blur tool and slight levels.

Going in the same direction as Alecia here is what I came up with. Probably too extreme but what interested me the most about his image was the sheen on the middle flower that is in focus. It's not noticeble unless you really get agressive with the curves.

I have expected nothing less when I saw Mr Art Roflmao had just posted into this thread! LOL! (I'm disappointed that none of those little flower pixies are vomitting fire like Godzilla!) :p

Ahhh... Lesley and Art. YOU BROKE THE RULES! The poor man specified "advanced editing rules"... To the corner with ya both!

Crayon, I like the grain. It's clean and soft and I see no need to get rid of it.

I like the softness of the image and thought it might look good b&w. So, here's my go at it.

Actually they didn't. If you adjust the Curves, change the blending mode to Difference, then print out the results and bake it at 420 degrees those faces appear. It's freaky! Oh and if you add a twig to it or something similar you can then take another picture of it and presto it's challenge eligible! :P
