My brother just forwarded this to me. Very cool :0) & the kids love it!!!

Hi All
I got this website from a family member in BC Canada. Its a live camera feed to a bald eagle's nest. There are 2 eggs that are due to hatch April 26 and 30th. The camera has sound also so when the male comes around it can get pretty noisy. Share with your friends and the kids.

Oh, I dunno, it is good and everything but might only appeal to birdbrains and women with nesting instincts. :) :)

can anybody tell me how to screenprint a live cam shot? Ive tried a few programs and all I get is the actual video saved (which disappears when I log off the live video) or a black screen.

Don't feel bad... I'm on a T-1 line and it was cutting out significantly... too many people are looking at it apparently. |

Along the same line, here's a link to this year's Peregrine Falcon Nest-cam in San Francisco. |

Don't assume it's a "she"! The males spend an equal share of the time brooding. Hey, even a mama's gotta get away from the kids once in a while.
Last spring we had a getaway in Tofino where we could watch the resident pair mate at their nest from the skylight over our bed. NOISY sex!!
(eagle trivia for ya... in movies they give eagles the cry of a red-tailed hawk because their own voices don't have that "majestic" scream.) |

oOWonderBreadOo: yes printscreen is not working I only get the black screen with that.
BeeCee: You can watch the pair switch places. The female is the bigger one and her 'hair' is 'poofier' (seems fitting), the Male is sleeker.

its fun watching them switch places... and bring sticks to the nest and rearrange the nest... when they switch places they talk to each other, while you can hear the birds around them their talking to each other is different |

There are utility programs available -- typically $15-50 USD -- which enable the capture of specific parts of the screen or web page, including video streams. Try searching at cnet.com for downloads and reviews.
If you are getting a black screen instead of video, possible problems might be an out-of-date browser plugin or media player, too slow an internet connection, too slow a video board, or the web-cam may not be broadcasting at the moment. |

To find what time it is where the nest is, just subtract 3 hours from the time posted at the bottom of any dpc page. Then you can tell if it's just overload or if you might as well give up trying until after dawn :) |

there was two eggs... now there's only one... the one it appears was infertile and broke finally. The parents cleared the egg shells out of the nest already and are tending to the remaining egg.

Sadly, the second egg also failed, and the parents have left the nest :(

Well, then they found another nest because I'm watching baby eagles being fed! |
