Would this would qualify (at least in the lomo method of taking a picture rather than the visual aesthetic)?

Or do I need to do some heavy post-processing (which would seem to violate the spirit of the technique)?

I was walking along the beach near the Santa Monica Pier with a friend of mine when I noticed a group of surfers running towards the beach behind me. I didn't have time to turn around and line up a shot, so I just pointed my camera over my shoulder behind me and mashed down on the shutter button (normally, my camera being a P&S, I would hold the button halfway down for autofocus and autoshutter, but I didn't even have time for this).

I didn't even remember taking this shot until I offloaded the pictures onto my computer. I'm surprised it turned out to be one of my better ones.

This filter does Lomo pretty well. You can see the examples at the bottom. They have a free version with settings limited.

How about this? Not done with post processing to get the Lomo-like effect - the effect is entirely in camera.

Looky here...

..."lomo" to me isn't just the tint or color of the image...it's about vignetting, distortion, weird light leaks, cheap crappy cameras that use medium format film and produce some of the most exciting images I have ever seen.

Google "holga" or "diana camera" for more examples...there's lots out there.
