Paul Simon: Bookends

Time it was,
And what a time it was,
It was ...
A time of innocence,
A time of confidences.
Long ago,
It must be ...
I have a photograph
Preserve your memories;
They're all that's left you.

Hmmmm... Long time ago there was a drive-through photo processing store called the photomat. Their advertising song was:

"someday my prints will come
right from the photomat!"

But that probably doesn't count, so I won't bother posting it :P

We actually had the contract to do the photography for Fotomat (note correct spelling) when they got started up; "we" being the studio I was with...

Buggles (same ones who did "Video Killed the Radio Star"- first video played on MTV)
"I am a Camera"
Would the group "Aztec Camera" count?
How about the Joey Lawrence Nikon vs Canon song and video?

Well thank you sir. sort of ironic that the first thread I read in recent history was one from 2006. it actually only came to my attention because I had posted in the original one :)

and Jeffryz - aztec camera always counts, if only because I listened to them in 10th grade.

Seventeen, by Ladytron.

"They take a Polaroid and let you go,
Say they'll let you know, so come on."

Also, Alice's Restaraunt, by Arlo Guthrie. About 5 minutes worth of "27 8x10 color glossy photographs with the circles and arrows and the paragraph on the back of each one explaining what it was."

Nine Days - Story of a girl

This is the story of a girl,
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world!
And while she looked so sad in photographs,
I absolutely love her,
When she smiles...

This is a beautiful song. I used it on my mother's picture slide show at her funeral this year. (JAN 2010)
