Not meaning to bump this... well, ok I'm bumping but I am not exactly sure if this method is ok for inverting... Really would like some input are the use of filters ok? If it is inverted and it still looks like a photo did I do something wrong...



Comments and advice would be greatly appreciated. This is not the photo I am using for the challange

as far as the inverting and it still looking like a regular photo it might be that your in a layer not the background photo. You need to enable the background photo to invert. make any sense? im not by any means good at photoshop.(only been using it like a week) so my teminology may be wrong but I had the same problem a few times when trying to invert photos for this challenge. It was always that I wasnt using the background layer. HTH

That's exactly what an inverted image looks like; the lighter areas get darker and the darker areas get lighter; for proof, I have just taken your file and inverted it again, back to normal; no other changes made.
