I accidently stumbled upon this on Apple's website. The whole thing keeps mentioning that you need a dual g5 and cinema display to accomplish color management (untrue) but its a good concise start to finish primer on color management, why you need it, how LCDs stack up to CRTs in terms of reliable color, what you need, and how to do it. Just thought I'd share. There's also an interesting article on how Graham Nash (of CSNY) pioneered digital fine art printing.
