The AF/MF switch on my 35mm f/2.0 has come off. (the plastic clearly broken in the middle. cheap little piece)

Im assuming I call Canon and have them fix it, anyone know how much this is gonna run me?

If the lens is under warranty and doesn't show any signs of rough handling -- it shouldn't cost you anything.

Call Canon and see if they will send you the plastic bit. It's most likely a 10-cent part, and I would think you should be able to install it yourself.

I have the same problem on my 100 Macro... but I never use the AF anyways and you can switch it with a pen.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing the switch just pushes on. There should be no disassembly required. I think.
