Guess what??? We were in NYC for the past couple days and went into B&H today. After some persuation (OK, downright begging!) my wonderful husband bought me one!!! I am so excited. The lens is so pretty! LOL It looks really cool on my camera, specially with the battery grip we bought me yesterday. My kit looks so pro now! It's amazing what spending $1500 can do for your camera LOL.

Ohhh, you're gonna love that one! It's the lens that stays on my cam in the bag, and definitely my most-used lens.

As you well know, that is definitely the one that lives on my camera. The others make guest appearances for special stuff.

Congrats on an awesome purchase!

I just got this 2 weeks ago as well. I love it. Between the two of you, you both have quite a setup of lenses!

Now whatcha need is a Tamron center-pinch lens cap so you can get it on and of with the hood in place!
I get occasional strange looks with a Tammy cap on my 24-70 (or the 70-200 IS) but what the hey.

Congrats on your new purchase. I am currently doing my taxes... and assuming the government actually lets me keep some of the earning I made this year, I am hoping to buy the following Canon items:

1. Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens
2. Telephoto EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens, and
3. EF 1.4x II Extender

Everyone I have spoken to so far were truly impressed with the 24/70 and I am certain you will be very please with it.

This lens is exactly the one I want to add to my stable. I would like to use it for indoor portraits.....so I dont have to have my back up against the wall to shoot with the 70-200. HEHE.

Wife will probably kill me. It is a 2.8?
