What order do you edit a photo in? Before cropping? My editing experience has been limited to adjusting the histogram curve and cropping.

of cause before cropping (if cropping is needed anyhow) - i never know, how far i go in editing, so i won't know the perfect crop before i try

Here's an example of one person's workflow...

Of course, everyone will have their own way of doing things based on their experience level, the tools they have available, etc. My workflow bares little resemblance to the one described in the link above. Mine also changes based on which lens I used for the photo, the intended purpose of the photo, and several other factors.
