Make voting none anonymous... I'm happy to stand by my decisions..It would be nice to mail politely asking people who give you 1's.. And I do mean politely.. If I was challenged more often on the comments I give it would make me a better commentor.. provided this is all done politely and without aggrovation.. Perhaps you could select to be none-anonymous in your profile?

The only reason I suggested commenting on photos voted 1-3 is because the people who are doing poorly would get more comments, but if you all don't want to that's fine. No biggy to me. I do think it would help and eliminate the bad voters. :-P

I sort of understand what you mean Sonja - that it may deter the malicious voters. But because of the fact it would remove the anonymity of the voting process to an extent, I wonder if it would also deter shyer voters from leaving the vote they honestly felt an image merited.

All 1 votes are not malicious, nor even unfair, given that opinion is just opinion and that there isn't a right or wrong.

Now THIS idea I DO like!

This is the first time I've come across it (forgive me if it's been suggested before) and I think it's excellent!

I'd opt for my votes being visible without hesitation BUT I do think it's a good idea to allow anonymous voting for those who prefer it since many do find it harder to be honest in their lower votes for worry about the reactions.
