me too, just signed up and submitted my first photo yesterday... (yay!) we'll see if it gets battered too bad, seeing's how I just learned what aperture is, last Friday.

p.s. just read the beginner's guide, and seems to be true from what I've observed these past few years, which is one of the major reasons I've only observed for so many years... (been too scared to join 'til now, not to mention lack of know-how and equipment) wish me beginner's luck..
