This is an odd question and I imagine many will wonder why the heck I would even want to do this, butâ€Â¦
I switched over to a Canon 350D a while ago from my Konica Minolta DiMAGE A1. When using the Minolta I had purchased a Maxxum 3600 HS flash unit that I liked very much. I have still have all of the old Minolta equipment because it is great stuff and prices for used equipment like this just don̢۪t seem like enough for me to part with it.
I have been trying to research this question, but have not had any luck. Does anyone know if it is possible to use the 3600 HS with my Canon 350D? I imagine there is a hot shoe problem, but I would easily consider a cable or even something like this:
//www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=396592&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation
Thank you very much for any advice you have.

Thank you.
I didn't figure that I could just slide it on. I was really wondering about connecting it through a cable or using the SunPak item to which I provided a link in my question. Anyone else know about these possibilites?
Thanks.

AFAIK it is not possible. The Minolta flashes are designed specifically for the Minolta cameras, even to the extent of having a different hot shoe and different electronic contacts. The cable connector is not a standard PC cable either.

Dang!
Anybody what to swap a nearly new Maxxum 3500HS for a 550ex or a 580ex?
