This may not be feasible but I think there might be some fun in a comic book challenge. Calvin and Hobbes, Archie & ______, Spiderman, Batman, Superman, etc.

Obviously advanced editing, possibly allowing multiple photos (triptychs) and addition of text (Boff, whamm, sock, kapow, splatt, crash, zamm, ee-yow, klonk, etc.)

Description:
Take a photo (or a series of photos) recreating your favourite comic book scene or something you think should be in a comic book. In the title, give the title of the series and the name of this episode.

I think Art would love this sort of freedom in editing! :) Just look at his portfolio of crazy edits, lol

I think this would ROCK! Might need to be a month-long challenge though.

This would be a fantastic challenge although I have no idea how I would go about it.

maybe you could allow for original comic strips instead of just copies of existing characters.

I totally agree. I wasn't clear enough with the "or something you think should be in a comic book" statement.

Glad to hear that this has some support though. I would love to do a challenge like this.

How about something along the lines of the triptych challenge where the concept is Comic Book Framing...

I am all for this one but I know I would score low because I read less well known comics such as Y the last man or stuff by Steve Niles. people would vote it low because it wouldn't have superheroes (at least I think they would)

I'd be well up for a challenge like this! Dont think I'll have another bash at Sin City though...

I'd love to have a crack atLone Wolf and Cub or hard boiled or a bit of classic 2000AD!!!
