If you don't want to use thumb tags, you need to find the URL for the thumnail by right clicking it and going to properties.

In your example it is //images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/35751/thumb/168931.jpg

You need to put that inside the IMG tags instead of the .php URL.

I wish DPC could put our profile picture [for the users that have one] under there name in the left column. Putting them in the signature area is sometimes a pain because it makes a long post even longer. Especially if you are looking for a picture or wanting advice on a picture in the thread. I just gets junky. I know you can turn of signatures if you wish but I don't want to because there are a lot of users that have great links to there pictures, sites, and quotes that are interesting and enjoyable. So I choose to keep signatures on. But think about it before putting large pictures 120x90 or grater in you signature area.
Example would be like Konadors signature line. Konador I hope you dont mind me using you as an example. He has good links but I believe it would look better and cleaner if he put the chat box image next to his other links instead of under it. I would cut his signature area in half.

Except in the post right above yours (and other brief ones), it would greatly increase the size of that post. phpBB has a bunch of stuff in that column and I think it actually lengthens the overal page length for most threads.

I do think there should be some etiquette or image size guidelines on signatures though.

I agree with no more rules, we have enough LOL. but I think it would benefit in the left column. It just gets overbearing sometimes to see a post like this:

post____________________________________________________________________
LOL, your right!

We try to be a bandwidth-friendly site, both to reduce download times for our still-significant number of dialup users, users who have their internet access billed by data usage, and to save the site money in not having to serve up unnecessary data.

If anyone wants to see your profile picture, they can right-click on the link to your profile page easily enough -- then they are the only one using that bandwidth.

Please don't put your prrofile picture in your signature -- that's the primary reason I (and many others) have had to suppress the display of all signatures, even those I'd like to see.

Make your signature one or two test lines, with links to important images if necessary, and maybe I'll take a look.

Also, if you are posting repeatedly within one thread, you can turn off posting your signature afer the first one or two.
