Are you the copyright owner of these - or do you have legal (re-)distribution rights?
This whole thread has me worried that you're sailing too close to the wind regarding respect for copyright. The fact that the URLs for the samples are hosted via IP number rather than a domain name looks dodgy too.

Public Domain: Material that is uncopyrighted, whose copyright has expired, or is uncopyrightable. The last includes government publications, jokes, titles - and, it should be remembered, ideas.
Public Domain= Wikipedia=Definition

So, you are (implicitly) asserting that the quicktime movies you provided links to have been deliberately released by their originator into the public domain? If you aren't, then you didn't answer the question.
In the case of those videos, they do not meet the "expired or uncopyrightable" tests, and don't appear to meet the government publications test either (given that they didn't come from a US government website; aside - government publications in many other countries ARE protected by copyright).
Ideas can't be copyrighted, but expressions of ideas can. No-one can use copyright to prevent people from releasing videos on how to do certain operations in Photoshop - but you can use copyright to prevent people distributing a particular video on how to do operations in Photoshop. And as the wikipedia article you linked to said, obtaining something legally under copyright (e.g. a book, photo, video) does not automatically confer a right to republish/redistribute it.

I am not making money from the link.
There is no copyright symbol.
Quick Time is downloadable for free.
The Author, DVGarage.com, has put the info out onto the internet for the whole world to use, and see.
I am not claiming the the info as mine.
The info has been there for at least two years.
If you are a copyright lawyer, then give me advice, otherwise contribute.

i tried to steer this thread into more of an insightfull discussion rather than a list of things anyone could look up. i can understand your purpsoe to provide a list of links to information, but feel a blog may be a better outlet.
i mentioned trying to find your own insight into what makes a better photo, and sharing that - as i have done. i see no point in continuing on with this.
i have not opened a single link posted...

I changed my mind soup.
Why should I continue. No one cares.
I have tried to share the info I have collected, and all I get is grief.
I am officially asking for this thread to be locked.
It should die a decent death as I will not be able to manage it any longer.
I thought I was doing something decent, but apparently not.
Soup, good luck. Please continue your good work, as for me, I am going invisable for a while.
