Hi. I've been trying to get the "Manage the forum filter" preferences to work, but to no avail. My preferences (i.e. which forums I do and don't want to see) are being saved, but whenever I go to the forums page, I see all the forums, regardless of whether they are ticked or not on the forum filter preference list.

I've tried everything I can think of - doing "save and close" on the forum filter preferences then saving the general preferences, saving the forum filter preferences then not doing anything with the general preferences, logging off (from DPC) then logging in again, closing and opening the browser after saving - no matter what I do, the result is still the same. My preferences are saved, but when I view the forums the preferences are ignored.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions for how to fix it?

I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.2 on Win2K Pro with no abnormal security settings. I've never had the settings working since they were introduced.

Thanks

Tim

Tim,

The forum filter settings control the folders included on the Most Recent Threads list on the front page of the site and on the Community page.

If you go to the Forums page, all folders will be included in the Folder list, regardless of your settings. This is by design.

Thanks,
Terry

Ahhh, I see ... that makes sense then. I misunderstood its purpose. Thanks for clarifying!
