Hey everyone-

I had something terrible happen, and am looking for advice. While on my tripod, my camera fell and while the lens was extened, hit the floor. The result is a scrambling of all my image, unless i push the lens "back" into its correct place. I have a Konica Minolta dimage z3.

Does anyone know weather this type of problem is correctable? Can it be fixed at any type of camera shop, or should I send it in? The problem is the repair cost to send it in is only $60 less than I paid for it new...

Does anyone have an old camera they want to sell? :(

hey, this is exactly what happened to me with my z1, so i sent it in, paid for it to be fixed, used it for another couple of months, realized i wanted to upgrade...bought a rebel. spent my life savings, too.

if you save the 200 you'd spend to send it in to be fixed, in a few months you might be able to either buy a dslr and live w/ the kit lens, or buy a better p&s. i really despise my old z1. it was so so so so slow. and after a year of heavy use, the auto focus barely worked (and their manual focus is so lame).

no suggestions, except my opinion that you shouldn't bother spending the money to fix it :(
