I have a question on my refraction of light entry. I thought the image was really clear, well detailed, and well just really beautiful. So as a stand alone image, without being part of this particular challenge, is it a really good pic, or is it really that bad? If it had just been posted to my portfolio, would anybody have made comments, and what would they have been? Just curious.

I think refraction of light was a basic editing challenge. So you could not burn the image. Anyways it is an alright photo but it still needs some editing.
One thing that should have been done (and within the limits of basic editing) is increase your saturation. This would really make the rainbow pop from your black background.
In general on your photo I would have exposed it slightly less. The prisim looks dirty, and the extra light around the prisim looks as if it were a mistake. So slightly underexposing the photo may have helped conceal these issues without losing focus on the subject.
Hope that helps
