hey guys!
i'm new here..just wondering if you know of any software where i can do some simple video editing. got any recommendations?

I use Roxio Videowave version 7. It does really good for what I use it for (simple music videos of kids for family - still shots and video). I would love to go ahead and get Adobe Premiere. Alot of extra features that would be fun to play with. The Roxio program can be bought on ebay for under $20.

| well if you want simple and have windows XP then Windows Movie Maker is built in (under accessories). It actually doesn't do that bad a job for home movies and stuff. |

| are you splicing video or creating a new one? it sounds like you're planning of taking an existing video and editing it. am i right? |

Good timing for this post. We just purchased a DVD Camcorder and I was wondering the same thing!

I use Final Cut Pro on mac and Premier on windows. I wish they made Final Cut Pro for windows!
I know there are small easier apps but those are the best!

may want to contact Joey Lawrence he does this type of stuff and is very good at it. I think it was Art Roflmao that was also doing video work.

| hey guys sorry but to be more specific I am taking an existing video, which was taken with a digital camcorder, and basically taking pieces from it to create a new one..hope this makes sense. sounds like movie maker xp will do the job, i've only used it for photos before but if it does videos then awesome! |

oh yea, it'll do transitions and sound tracks and then it'll export it at various resolutions for dial up or broadband or whatever. Sure there are better programs out there but considering it's free, it does a pretty good job :) |
