I dont think you did anything technical wrong with the pic, the lighting looks very good in fact. I think it's the fact that there's nothing more to the shot. It's just a good shot of a toy? Take a look at first place and try and compare - maybe that will illustrate what I am trying to say :)

My 2 cents :)

I wonder why you had to send proof? Maybe someone thought it was clear cut?

Makes you think doesn't it Nick? ... I personally thought that the toy challenge was quite weak really for standard (my own included) this should of placed higher but what can we do?.. keep cracking at it mate, you have a great camera and 2 fine lenses there now.
