congrats you can join the rebels.... :-)
thats just the flash makin that noise, the springs that pop up the flash are the noise makers, its ok nothing to worry about it.
I did not get and extended warranty, your camera will be fine, just like anyother camera dont drop it!! My camera has been fine no problems at all.

I don't think it should rattle. If you bought it online maybe you should give them a call and ask what they suggest you should do. As far as breaking easily, a friend has an XT and he said it is a great camera and has not had any trouble with it in about a year and he takes lots of pictures. Extended warranty? not sure if they are worth it. I insure my gear so I don't have to worry about that. |

Mine rattles too. Upon close inspection when I first noticed it I concluded that it's just not a very good design as there is nothing to stop it from rattling.

lol........ it's nothing to worry about, if u pop up the flash and look near where the dial is you will see something that looks like a little hook, thats what it is, shake the camera a little and you will hear a rattle, now hold it.... again give it a little shake now u dont hear it as much or as loud....
also try holding the arms that hold the flash up and u will not hear any rattleing.... thats all it is
again nothing to worry about

Congrats by your new camera! Did you read the manual? The manual says that this noise is not an issue. It´s only your orientation sensor that changes it´s position when you shake or hanlde your camera. It is perfecly normal, cause this senser is like a plumb and shakes from side to side of little enclosure.
Be happy with your camera and enjoy DPC!

Mine rattles too! So don't worry!
Maybe we should start a rattling string?!
Welcome to the Rebel gang, and the start of continually saving up for the next of the 'optional' extras!
