yet another moon shot. this time a new camera (30D) and it was NOT cold nor windy!! what a change that is!
ISO 100 1/30 at F11 Tamron 70-210 with 1.4x TC
100% crop, PP was just USM.
I did try no TC and it is a tad sharper, but smaller. I also stacked the 1.4 and 2.0, but not as sharp as i'd like it to be - but MUCH bigger in the frame.
Spot meter!!! Love it!! Made the exposure dead on! Color is nice too I think, auto WB.

Nice moon...
I sometimes wonder what would happen if we had a "moon" challenge during the week of the full moon. The challenge would have to say something like "take a shot of the earth's moon this week".
...I wonder how many creative shots would come out if it?

That would be pretty cool. Of course, you'd have people arguing in the forums.. "I can too take a picture of my exposed buttcrack! It was created on this earth and it's been here the whole time!!" |

You would likely have portraits that says this is my friend "moon" !

yeah, except those of us living in the PNW often go weeks on end without ever seeing the moon (or the sun). |
