Considering I'm a photographer and should be creative...I'm having a hard time coming up with anything creative for a business card. This is all I've come up with so far. It's obviously VERY plain.

If anyone has ideas I'm open to them! Or if you're bored and would like to come up a new design that would be great, too! There's actually a PSD card template here.

At the size that you have presented it looks pretty good, but can't help that when shrinken down to card size that it's impact would be diminished.

Would a tall size up be an unprofessional style business card? Maybe Have the image of the waterfall running down the long end of the card.

Even though I have seen some amazing looking business cards on DPC that people have put up, sometimes I still prefer the simple approach.

Thanks, Welland, I can try that.

Neil, thanks. It is simple...lol! I do think it looks clean and neat though. Not sure how much impact it would have on someone though...?

I'll see what I can do tomorrow and will check in again.

Thanks!

I think it is simple, to the point, and not too busy. I think it is great.

Any of these better?

I am a very big fan of the middle one. The picture on that one is significantly more interesting than the first one you posted.

Thank you very much, Charles. That's the one I seem to be leaning towards as well.

I agree with cfishchl. The middle one has a really nice design, as well as the bottom one. But the text in the middle one looks better.

Thanks, Maria!

ditto middle one. 'Specially prefer the white-on-black and the new picture. (nothing wrong with the other picture, but 2nd is more original/dynamic)

Thanks for your thoughts, Kirsty!

Thank you all for the quick responses. Looks like I'll go with the middle one. Been putting this off for too long! ;-)

The middle one is great. Just don't smudge your number on the real one.

:-)

LOL, you had me worried for a minute and I just had to go back and make sure I uploaded the right one!

Thanks for commenting, James!

Maybe you can design one for me?

How much are these costing you?

If you don't mind me asking.

Haha! Me design one for you? I took me a year to get mine together! LOL Seriously! :-) I could give it a go though if you'd like. Let me know what your ideas are.

I didn't pay much. 250 Premium cards with free glossy for $3.99. I can't remember I think there was a $4.99 upload (my own image) fee. So, maybe $9.00 plus shipping ($5, $8, or more depending on speed).

VistaPrint.com is who I used. I've used them for my parents business in the past and they do nice work. Can't beat the free stuff offers either. Free meaning pay S&H only.

I concur that the middle one is the best. Much more impact than the original you posted. The original wasn't bad, but it lacked the WOW factor that I feel is important for Photographer's business cards.

Excellent :)

I won't put you through the trouble. I really just needed one now just so when I go out to try and generate a little business and in case I run into trouble. I will design one eventually. I might just ask for your opinion.
