I have just recieved my Amvona 'Studio Gray' backdrop. The first thought through my head (and out of my friends mouth who witnessed the unveiling) was "That's not gray!".
It will still serve its purpose as a blank canvas for a gel/gobo lighted backdrop but the difference in color is surprising.
Is this normal? |

*bump*
If this is the wrong color, I want to know so that I can package it up and deal with it ASAP if they did send me the wrong color. |

If it was simply a delivery error than I might understand but having it labelled as Civichrome "Studio Gray" seems odd.
Anyone else with an Amvona Civichrome backdrop? |

Have you contacted the company about this ... the label says one thing but it is more than obvious it is wrong .. I would just contact the company and get them to give a solution. you can also check on their website //www.amvona.com/ to see if it is there as a product.

I often think that color names are strange. I thought it was entirely possible that "studio gray" is the standard name for a gray color that is close to beige. I did a web search and found a color chart listing studio gray. What you have looks much more like Fossil Gray on their chart. I've also looked at the Amvona site and what they show does not look like what you showed us in your photo; it is much closer to a standard (neutral) gray.
It doesn't really matter whether they sent the wrong color--the bottom line is that you got something that was not what you expected based on their web catalog. You should return it for credit and get something you want.

lol...maybe that's mine! I ordered "natural" muslin from them and received "studio gray"...I've shipped back the gray, but am still waiting to receive the right one.
Edit: my "studio gray" did not look like yours

Thanks everyone, good to know I'm not just crazy. I've sent an email to Amvona and will be inquiring about getting the 'proper' backdrop. |
