Hi
I have a broadband connection but i can download only 500mb. . Everything is considered as download i.e. opening of any web page, chatting, email downloading.

Is there any software that i can download which kind of keeps tabs of how much i am downloading at that given moment.

I can check how much i have used i.e. from the alloted 500mb but it only shows previous usages also since i open multiple sites i dont which site used more data and which site less.

Perhaps NetMeter or DU Meter might help?

NetMeter is freeware. DU Meter is shareware (28 day trial period) and looks very similar but has slightly more features.

I use NetLimiter
The Monitor version is free, the pay versions also allow you to limit the speed of any application accessing the internet.

I'm wondering why you would have a limit on downloads? And how long is this limit? Daily, weekly, monthly limit of 500mb?

Well Matto we have different plans .You have unlimited plans also, that is no limit to data transfer, than volume based i.e where they give you fixed amount transfer data, in my case 500mb. It is valid for say one month and speed i get is 256kbps. You can get higer speeds too but you pay more.I am maying 10$ for 500mb data transfer valid for one month.
Speed is good and best part is you can be on net all day as long you donot say click on a a link or so no data tranfer is considered

I have downloaded net meter also, but it only shows data transfer of that moment i.e doesnt maintain record as to much data have you down loaded while Costware keeps tab of both i.e how much have downloaded and how much you are downloading now. In my opeion costaware is better
