New feature, people can vote thumbs up or down on individual (non-private) images in galleries, then they're ranked with some sort of secret google-like algorithm which factors in comments, views without ranks, etc.
Not sure if I like the thumbs feature but it is kinda fun to see where the images end up, one of mine is #3 today so far. There's today's rankings, here and "all time", though the feature has been around for such a short time it's not too representative. It does seem to stimulate more comments if that's something you desire.
If you have a pro account, your most popular photos show in a new section in your control panel. |

for now I turned that feature off, not sure if I like it yet, ALSO alot of people who are not smugusers will not no what they are voting for or what it is....
When I first noticed it a couple of days ago I was wondering  what was wrong with my image or what is this new thing here.

Agreed on all points, 'cept I haven't gotten around to turning it off yet. I have too many (event) galleries to go through and do it individually, might have to.
