There are a lot of feelings in this website and that is really nice.
However, I had the impression that many people out there (particularly myself) is heart-broken because his/her very beloved photo did not had the recognition supposedly deserved.
I then had this wonderful idea:
why do not institute a monthly special ribbon for the most underrated pic of the month?
That would live some hope to desperate people (like myself) after the end of a competition.
I also think that only DPChallenge members should be allowed to vote for this particular title because that would somehow consolidate the value of the recognition.
A broken-heart (kind-of) photographer.

I like this idea. There are always a few photos that make me go 'Are they all crazy? What's this doing down here?!'. |

One of the most useful things I've learnt here in the few monhs I've been submitting is not to get too attached to your submission. It's just a photo, which even applies to the best photo here, IMO. No one dies, no-one suffers more than a slight and passing bruise on their pride (which is no bad thing for any of us).

I think this is hands-down the most underratted shot of the month. I can't believe it didn't do much better, I think it's flawless!

But at least your objective about it! ;-) (It is a very good shot, BTW) |

Well it's not MY shot, but it is hard to be objective nonetheless, as I am very familiar with the photographer. ; )
