As per my observation, Average score from commentrator is usually higher than the over all score. That means there are more positive comments than negative. Comments in all forms are welcome. But the comment from the voter who is scoring low can be more constructive and useful in the learning process.

Do I make any sense?

PS - Please note that it applies to me too. I should also comment if I am scoring low on any entry.

Makes sense to me... I tend to comment more on the ones I vote low than the average votes. Though I also like to comment on the high scores I give out, I prefer to try and comment on the lower scores so that they know why I gave them the vote I did.

Okay, I verified at least 50 different entries. For all of them, Avg (commenters): X.XXX is higher than Avg (all users): X.XXX

Thoughts?

This is not surprising - most people are good people who listened to their mothers - if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
