Greetings to all experienced photographers, I'm new to photography and only picked up this interest recently. I got myself a Canon PowerShot S2 and it is giving me a high level of noise when i post-process my photographs, and sometimes before I even process them. I noticed quite some plug-ins that are able to reduce noise efficiently, but I have some questions about the presence of noise.

1. Does noise only destroy photos?

2. Can noise be used to enhance the mood in some photos?

Please help, thanks!
