I need help finding a reversal ring to put on top of my kit lens, to hold my 50mm lens. I'm confused as to which one to buy.

And can someone explain, in detail, the way extension tubes work, and what they do, tips, etc? I need to have macro capabilities without actually forking over $300 for a macro lens, which I don't have at the moment.

What filter sizes do your lenses use? I assume 52mm and 58mm but I could be wrong. If so the reversal ring adapter you would need is one with a 52mm thread on one side and a 58mm thread on the other. Not sure if that is a common set or not since both your lenses are fairly small. As for the extension tubes they just allow your lens to focus closer to the object while sacrificing some loss of light.

I can't find one on B&H photo that says that it has 58 on one side and 52 on the other side...
