I visited Avery Island Jungle Gardens yesterday. It is common to see the nesting egrets and quite a few feeding on the shallow waters along with the Great Blue Herons. I was lucky to see a Roseate Spoonbill gliding overhead. Can't say my shots are very good as I had to follow the bird with my camera to get any shots at all.

Here are a couple of shots of the nesting egrets and a few of the flying spoonbill.


Here is another site I found of another person's gallery of nearby Lake Martin where the Spoonbills will be nesting later this month and caring for Hatchlings next month.
