If you find a photo that you consider is breaking the rules:
- Request a DQ against it, and give your reason(s) as to why you think the photo is breaking the rules - There's no need to quote the exact rule from the rules page though.
- Don't forget to vote as though the photo is legal!
I think my photo is suffering from this so I just thought I'd remind everyone. Vote as if it is Legal and let the SC decide if it has breached the rules.
Sometimes the process is not easily seen.

i think something should be on the voting page saying this because this has been happening to many times.

Then the following should be added as well (from the Challenge Rules):
"While voting, users are asked to keep in highest consideration the topic of the challenge and base their rating accordingly."
"If you feel a photograph deserves a vote of 1, 2 or 3, please include a comment with your vote explaining why you felt it deserved a "below average" score."
"Entries will not be disqualified for misinterpreting or failing to meet the challenge to which they are entered."
Seriously, there isn't enough room on the challenge image voting page to keep adding text - plus it would clutter it up and distract from the image being voted on.
Besides, how is it known for sure that people are voting an image down because of a perceived violation. Can't really know for sure. |

the original poster said that the voter posted the "rules" on his image. i was just giving my opinion on how to maybe stop this from happening since everyone is always complaining about it, but for now I could care less. I know what the rules say but obviously not everyone reads them.

I hear you 100%, and agree. I wonder if it could be required to read the rules prior to being allowed to vote? Kind of like how you have to check the TOS before registering... |
