Congratulations on not only creating a beautiful picture, but on beating the DPC odds to wrangle a top finish!
In my experience soft, almost painterly images don't seem to do nearly as well as I think they should here, probably over issues related to the "pure photography" vs. "digital art" divide. |

Congratulations, I'm so happy for you. IMO, The shot deserves to be up there. It's the only shot I gave a 10 in this challenge - I always save the 10's for something extra spectial, your shot has got that. Very happy for you.

I am just amazed that this image did so well for me. I now have five favorites, and so many comments, so would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone.....
