...where I might find a tutorial on doing a triptyck? Any insight would be greatly appreciated :O)

I think it's triptych, and while I don't know where to find a tutorial, I can offer some tips.
When I did mine I used four layers in Photoshop. The base layer is the black, which I calculated: 3 pics at X pixels across, plus X pixels between each and on the borders. Then I opened the three pictures, edited them, sized them to the size I wanted on the triptych, and coped and pasted them onto the background. Each pastes into a new layer, so you can move and align them. I flatened it and then put some USM on it.
Anyway, I'm sure others around here have other ways of doing them, but this worked well for me. If you've got questions about the process, feel free to PM me or whatever. Hope this helps!

Thanks!! I just might PM you, I appreciate that generousity. Just starting to learn layers, but I'll give it a shot.
