my girl friend's dad took this photo and i really dont know how he did this could anyone help me?

It's a popular term that descibes the big magic acts, like on TV and all: they use a lot of smoke for misdirection and mirrors for deception. Tink David Copperfield "disappearing" the Statue of Liberty.

Is it a digital photo or a san from a print? If the latter, he stacked the negatives. If the former, he just added layers with separate images and set the opacity of the layers appropriately.
