Seems like there is something missing from this. Anyone else think the same?
Would really appreciate some comments...
Thanks.

For me the light wood steals my eye from the subject. I would darken the wood or change the crop so the subject was emphasized.. or to use the current phrase "pops". |

I totally agree - darken the wood to draw the attention to the cute sleepy puppy and it will be awesome - regardless of if the reflection remains there or not.
Great image!

Reflection notwithstancing, the image is MUCH stronger if you crop out nearly all the floor and make it a very horizontal aspect ratio. As posted, the image divides into two halves and the foreground contributes little or nothing to our appreciation of the very cute puppy.
Robt.

My first thought as well was to crop from the bottom to about a 2:1 panoramic. Another option (popularized in another recent thread) might be a tight portrait in square format. |

I agree with the comments about both darkening the floor and cropping tighter. Very cute pup

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I'll see what I can do with it this weekend sometime. I knew it needed something different... Thanks again.
