I just put a 30D on layaway. I didn't intend on doing that. I went into the camera shop for something else entirely. But, there sat the 30D in all its glory. I asked if I could pet it. Then, I asked about the price, and it was a good price. Lower than I've seen it anywhere else online or IRL. Then, I asked if he would still give me a good trade on my Olympus, and would he let me put it on lay-away. He was like, "You know I will. You've been buying all your stuff here for years! Even when you lived in Richmond!"
I'm getting a 30D!!! I'm shaking!! I can't believe I did that!! Now, all I need is $800 more dollars and I can actually take it home. I have someone who is supposed to be sending me money to buy prints. I can put the money I clear on the prints on the camera! I've had a couple of other inquiries, sent a price list, but haven't heard back yet. Hopefully, those people will buy prints too. See? I'm actually starting to make money with my photography, so I can justify spending more money on it.
You know I never did get what I went in there for...
Also, in October, I'm having my very own show. Our local Barnes and Noble displays work of local artists, and October is my month. They'll even have a little reception for me on October 1, if I want. :) |
