OK..bought PS 6.0 on ebay, $79.00, so I could install the PS CS2 upgrade that I got a steal on. Ever sine I installed them, all of my photo files are opening sooooooo slow. The folder will open and all individual pics will show up in sections at a time, and the thumbnails are smaller and look like blurred pixels until I open the pic and it's fine. Uninstalled & reinstalled both versions and still have the same problem. Just for Sh#$%'s and giggles, I opened up 6.0, and this box appeared saying:
"You currently have Adobe Photoshop primary scratch & Windows primary paging file on the same volume, which could result in reduced performance. It is recommended that you set Photoshop primary scratch volume to be on a different volume, preferably on a different physical drive"
Can anyone tell me what that actually means? Should I uninstall 6.0 since I'm not using it? or can I?
Signed, computer illiterate :( THANX in advance. I'm dying here

Right click on a JPEG, Click properties, and on one of the tabs, (Iforget which one) there should be a check box for Photoshop gnereate Thumbnails. Uncheck that box.

Oh, BTW, after you have PS CS@ installed, uninstall 6.0, you no longer need it on the system.

More RAM and you get more speed, once it runs out the scratch disk is used.
