Here is an interesting web app called Rasterbator.

What is cool is that you upload an image and then it walks you through a few options and then sends you a PDF with your image blown up to a wall poster size. But the image is rasterized and it prints out on multiple sheets of paper.

There is also an executable that you can use locally on your computer if you don't want to do the upload. The gallery of pictures where folks have done this show some intersting uses.

well dayum. I was just about to do this manually with a pic for a monster sized space on my wall. i haven't tried it yet, but you may have just saved me muy hours in photoshop.
