I just redid my online portfolio dpatterson.NET and thought it'd be cool to get some feed back on the site it's self and the pictures as well.
I changed the complete structure as it is not 100% database and config driven. All I have to do is change the web.config file to include new genres/galleries and the site will do the rest to display the navigation choice and images. Plus there is now metadata for all the images after being selected.
All feeback is welcome. Thanks in advance!

I only see about 20px of the thumbnails on the right (Firefix 1.5). Plenty of white space, si it's not running off my screen. |

Same here no thumbnails on Firefox, works on IE though.
I am running at 1280X800 resolution, so its wide enough to support the frame.
Nice and simple layout though!

Nice clean design. I'm not keen on your logo though, especially where the two fonts clash.

Just tried it using firefox 1.07 - 800 X 600 and it is fine - ok at 1024 X 768.
The photo I like is entitled
Seattle
Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT | Canon EF 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM
f/10.0 | ISO 100 | 13.0 sec
Kerry Park - Seattle, WA | 2/12/2006
You are using a 28 - 135 mm lens _ I presume this is much better lens than the standard kit lens 18 - 55.

Work fine in Firefox on the mac.
Nice clean site by the way, images take a second or two to load, but other than that I like it, really nice images by the way.
my 2 favorites are Seattle Night Traffic and Silk (the waterfall picture)

Yes, the 28-135 has been a much better lens for me then then kit lens, 18-55. I like the 28-135 because of the IS, flexible range, and lightness. It's my walk around lens. The IS is 1st gen, as oppose to the efs version, 17-85. but if you ever upgrade cameras, you can always use the 28-135.

Sorry missed this. Apart from a small laptop (1024x768), my machines all run 1280x1024 and higher.
As you say below, works fine in FF now. Also you now have a real browser :-) |

I liked most of the pics, however, I would remove "American Pride" from your wildlife series. Seems to be slightly blurred and the white head is overexposed and suffering from some fringing. Just takes away from the professionalism I assume you're trying to porject. Besides that, looks pretty good.
