Just curious what parameters for canon cameras everyone uses for different situations such as

landscape
woods
low light
interior
etc.

I have had everything punched up to max on a custom parameter for a while and now I'm not so sure if thats a good thing. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Why do you personally use a particular parameter setting? Any Adobe RGB users?

Not sure if other camera systems have parameter setting like canon but if so what are your thoughts?

I think you're going to hear a lot of this opinion, but here goes: If you want to get the best output without worrying as much during the shoot, then shoot RAW. The RAW format keeps the basic sensor data without applying any post-processing, so you may choose later which white balance, sharpening, contrast, saturation, etcetera are best. The only things you need to worry about when shooting are shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Oh, and expose right.

this came to mind a second ago - are the parameter settings discarded from the RAW file - or are they still applied. i'm thinking they are only used for JPEG but haven't seen that posted anywhere.

I think that raw still keeps them.

Besides the RAW arguement what does everyone use?
