Hey everybody. I was really pleased with my submission with the exception of the dirt marks and various blemishes. Anyways, I went ahead and tried to spot edit some of those things out today and I think I came out with a better product.Spot edited Mike
I know its not the best spot editing job ever but the amount of time I put into doing it makes me believe it should be a legal part of the DPC process. I would have been more happy with this version than the orginal and I don't think the editing I did was so drastic as to change the appearance from the orginal. I also think that this spot edited version would have scored a little better because it is cleaner. Who knows?

Wow, you did a great job with the spot editing. The wonders of an image editor huh :) I think this version would have scored higher but then what do I know. It scored waaay higher than my submission as it was.

Since no one is allowed spot editing, I would never vote photo down because of few dots that are impossible to avoid with closeups. Your second image is better for printing ofcourse, but the idea and quality of the shot speak for themselves without editing.
