I'd like to thank Kiwiness for burying one dead horse. Poor thing, it deserved it. There was no flesh left on the bones :-)
NEXT horse will be? My guess is the "Troll visits Dr. Phil" thread, aka mistake in voting.

I'd say a new one... something along the lines of "When is water NOT water?" |

*kicks the dead horse* Dead horses are meant to be kicked aren't they? I mean once a point is made the best action is to keep making it again and again and well making it over and over and rephrasing and repeating and... *kicks the horse again*

Re: flogging dead horses - surely this presupposes an affinity for
sado-masochism, necrophilia & bestiality? |

I'm going to post a dead deer because I don't have any dead horses, but nobody'll notice. It's most definitely dead, and that's what counts, right? |

You might get a 4 or 5, if he's been beaten. Must have good technicals though. :-)

He's been hit by a car so close enough. But I can't find it so I'll post live elk taken months ago and with terrible technicals. But it was unintentionally funny, so it'll do great! (or else)
dead horse or stick it....

Sample critique of a photo submitted for challenge "Beating a dead horse" :
Challenge title: Beating a dead horse
~Said horse's blood was still circulating -1
~Horse was in process of falling, so was technically still moving -1
~Horse was actually still a pony for 17 more days. -2
~Veterinary examiner's affidavit states that he was later able to revive said horse. Therefore, while horse was techincally dead at one point, it did not stay dead. -3
~Horse was not in process of being beaten. Stick was 3.4 feet above horse in photograph. -4
Due to a score of -1, please sign and return this affidavit:
(all in fun :D) |

For the dead horse challenge does it need to be a real horse? I have a horse figurine that I can prove isn't living?
Does mostly dead count? I have a horse that has been mostly dead all day.

Be careful what you wish for..... I can provide a true dead horse image but would rather not!
(in context, I was asked to photograph a procedure by a veternarian as it was euthanized because of a rare health issue and they wanted images for the pathologist) |

"Horse was actually still a pony for 17 more days..."
Ummmm, this one can be disputed. It's my understanding that time is not a factor at all. It's either a horse or a pony. They are different breeds based on the animal's height. ;) |

Well if it never was living, can it really be dead?
Definition: dead (ded) adj., dead·er, dead·est.
Having lost life; no longer alive.
