I sold my Sigma 170-500 APO lens to a camera shop and also I had 2 Nippon Kogaku lenses at 2.8cm and a 5cm from the 60's. I did not want to sell them at all but my funds have run out totally and still waiting for my 6 months to pass so I can claim housing/ poll tax (I was out of UK for 10 years so now I have no status here for 6 months)
Anyway... I got 300 pounds for the lot and I spent 200 pounds on a NEW sigma 28-70mm f2.8 EX-DG-D (so I didnt feel so sad about selling my stuff)
So far this little lens has really impressed me WAY more than the super zoon ever did. Besides I have the 80-400 VR too so I sure wont miss the Sigma super zoom at all.
Im gonna use it for the team challenge YELLOW I think that will be a real test.
Anyone have this lens with any opinions or problems they have had with it?.. I just got home with it and Im going to shoot a few things tonight.

Tried this lens and Im well impressed with it for the money. I wanted the 28-70 f2.8 Nikkor but didnt have a spare 800 quid floating around at 200 pounds I see this as a right result.
