I'll go ahead and start the thread!

Animal Faces: I'd already done the animal face closeup thing, for my shot liquid eyes -- so when it came time to do this challenge, that was the first thing I thought of.

But I wanted to do something different than an animal face, so I decided to try a few other different directions.

That said, here are My Fill the Frame Outtakes. I'd be curious to know what people think of the other thoughts and if they thought I made the right selection.

Thanks!

Some nice shots. I think I prefer Stairway 2 over the one you entered. I like the unclutteredness of the shot. It seems to have more of a purpose going up then down.

I like tiny head myself- fabulous shot; though i see why you didn't submit it, at least with that title.

Good shots. I like your ansteyeview-2 for the satisfying shapes and textures, and the leaf abstract for its dynamics, but due to the Garden challenge running alongside this you made the right choice.

I prefer the depth of contrast in stairway-2 but the symmetry in not as effective. Tiny-head is a great viewpoint but I think you would have got more 'not filling the frame' comments.

thanks for the comments. i liked the tiny head picture too. i thought it was a great commentary on fill the frame in that indeed the entire frame was filled with this escher-like architecture, yet the one human 'subject' did anything BUT fill the frame :) ..

but i didnt think anyone would 'get it' .. So I kept it obvious :)

Do you think an alternate title would have helped?

I like the one you submitted best. However, a very close second is ansteyeview2, a fabulous leaf shot.
