Hey, im seriously considering buying a used canon rebel xt right now. Since I am looking for one through various websites such as fredmiranda.com, I don't know if i can trust the people who have made offers. What kinds of things should i check for before making the purchase. Also, i hear a lot about shutter cycle. What exactly is this. I understand it is how many photos have been taken with the camera? Where can you check it, and also what is the average life of the rebel xt? Any suggestions as to where I should draw the line and not make the purchase? thanks,
Phil

I would purchase a new one. Is it really that much cheaper than a new one?

If it is worrying you that much, just buy new -- you won't pay much over what you would for a quality used in most cases.
